Dr. Sachin Arakere Nataraj has established himself as a distinguished figure in the realm of urology and renal transplantation, boasting an impressive array of accomplishments. His journey commenced with the completion of a Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in Urology and Renal Transplantation from SGPGIMS in Lucknow, marking the foundation of his remarkable career. Driven by his passion for advancement, he pursued specialized training through a Visiting Fellowship in Robotic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, USA, and a Vattikuti Robotic Uro-Oncology and Renal Transplantation program.
A testament to his dedication and expertise, Dr. Sachin has garnered prestigious accolades, including the Fellowship in Robotic Urological Oncology and Robotic Renal Transplantation by the Vattikuti Foundation, as well as the American Urology Association Travelling Fellowship in 2014. Notably, his contributions were further recognized with the American Urology Association 2020 Annual Best Video Award, underscoring his proficiency in the field.
At the helm of leadership, Dr. Sachin played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Urologic Oncology, Robotic Surgery, and Renal Transplantation at Aster Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore, assuming the position of Head and Lead Consultant. His visionary leadership and clinical prowess laid the groundwork for excellence in patient care and innovation within the department.
Dr. Sachin’s tenure at Medanta Hospital has been marked by his exceptional surgical skills and unwavering commitment to patient outcomes. His expertise spans a spectrum of advanced robotic surgical techniques, encompassing laparoscopic, endourological, and minimally invasive procedures. His proficiency in procedures such as robotic radical prostatectomies, partial nephrectomies, radical nephrectomies, cystectomies with intracorporeal neobladders, robotic-assisted laparoscopic retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND), and robotic-assisted video endoscopic inguinal lymphadenectomy (VEIL) has significantly enhanced patient outcomes, setting a high standard of care.
